1965 Ford Falcon Econoline

When the VW Bus was introduced, the domestic manufacturers scrambled to release competitors. Chevy had the Corvair Van, and the later Chevy Van, and Dodge introduced the A100, all with a similar COE design. Ford's offering was the Econoline, based on the Falcon. Introduced in 1961, the Econoline was available as a pickup, panel van, and the passenger van shown here. The COE Econoline would survive until 1967, when it was replaced with a more conventionally-styled van. This Econoline, interestingly, has Falcon badging, and no badging to denote it as an Econoline.
