1965 Volvo PV544

The Volvo PV544, introduced as the 444 in 1947, gained a reputation for not only being well built and reliable, but also sporty and fun to drive. The 544 arrived in 1958, and would last for almost ten more years, despite the already outdated styling at its introduction. The B16 and, later, the B18, engines provided enough power, meaning, coupled with the competent suspension, the 544 was a great sports sedan. This 544, a reasonably common sight in Seattle, is a late-model '65, but still features the classic shape.
