1978 Datsun 810

The Datsun 810 was introduced in 1977 as a luxury and somewhat sporty sedan. The car used the same engine as the Z, which was good for 125 HP. As a luxury Japanese car, it competed with the Toyota Cressida, which, with its stand up grill, looked quite similar. This 810 is pretty solid, but is beginning to show its age. The elderly apartment complex it's parked at has some great period 60s-70s architecture.

  1. In Australia we got a short-nose version of that powered by a rough two litre four, called the 200B. Unfortunately the nose styling was even uglier than yours, and it lost the independent rear end for a solid axle to save cost. Might have worked if the rest of the market stood still, but it didn't. There's a survivor 200B hardtop coupe in my town - I'll have to see if I can get a pic of it.
