1974 Ford Mustang II

Although people love to hate the Mustang II, many forget that it was a huge success, with more than a million cars sold between 1974 and 1978. Of course, it was based on a Pinto, it was slow, and the II wasn't particularly good-looking. When introduced, though, it brought the Mustang back to a smaller size after the huge '71-'73 cars, and at least was eventually available with a V8, before being replaced by the classic and popular fox body for 1979. This base Mustang's brown paint and beige trim could only be from the 70s.

  1. I always envied kids that got to ride in those deep back passenger bucket seats.
I turned four in 1974. So between the years that the Mustang II was offered ( 1974-78 ). I would have been a perfect age to ride in the back seat. Unfortunately it never happened.
