1981 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Turbo

1981 was the final year of the second generation Firebird, introduced seven years earlier. An update near the end of its life brought the 4-headlight front end seen here, as well as a turbo 301 V8. Seventies and eighties Firebirds are some of the gaudiest cars ever produced, and this one is no exception. From the excessive 'Bandit' black and gold graphics to the turbo boost lights housed in the hood scoop, it's a piece of machinery that could only be from the early 80s.

  1. Oh wow, gimmie, gimmie, gimmie! If I had enough money to maintain one I'd own a turbo trans am in a heart beat.
