1969 Mercury Cougar Convertible

The Mercury Cougar arrived in 1967 as a reskinned Mustang, though it was marketed as being more luxurious and "European" than the Mustang. To prove this, it had hidden headlights in the front, and way-cool sequential turn signals in the rear. For 1969, a convertible was added to the lineup, and the grill gained the prominent center section shown here.

  1. I never particularly liked the 69/70 cougars/mustangs. The 67-68 & 71-73's I like. That would've been awesome if a convertible would have been offered starting out in 1967.
