1983 Chevrolet Chevette

The Chevette, introduced in 1976, was Chevy's small compact through the seventies and eighties. The Chevette was available as a 3 or 5 door, and even a two seater Scooter model. Though it is now remembered as a lemon, it was popular at the time, and was a somewhat-worthy competitor to the Japanese. This Chevette manages to look very sporty with its front spoiler, low ride height, and black steelies with trim rings.

  1. I never was impressed with Chevette's when I was growing up. During the year 1989 my father bought a 1986 used Chevette. The Chevette got very good gas mileage and my sister learned how to drive standard transmission on this car. If given the opportunity I would surely own one these days. I don't recall the exact gas mileage but I think it got over 40 MPG to the gallon.
