1973 Ford Maverick Sedan

The Ford Maverick was introduced in 1970 as Ford's compact, replacing the Falcon, and intended to battle the imports. However, someone forgot to tell the designers, as the Maverick was only available at first as the two-door fastback, making the backseat unusable for many. The standard engines were ridiculously small and slow six cylinders, though by 1971 a 302 V8 was available. This handsome white-on green example shows the 4 door sedan bodystyle introduced for 1971.
