1984 Isuzu Impulse

Remembered more for their trucks and the Trooper, many forget the beautiful coupes Isuzu also produced. First was the 117, designed by Giugiaro, and never sold in the U.S. Its follow-up was the Impulse, or Piazza, as it was known elsewhere. First previewed in 1979 as the Ace of Clubs concept, in went into production shortly after, and would enjoy a fairly long production run, with naturally-aspirated and turbo versions available. This early example wears what are surely some of the best rims ever made--I've always liked the way they echo the cubed rear lights.

  1. Wow, nice, unmolested survivor in great shape.

  2. Anyone know the owner? I would buy it if it's available. It's identical to my first car.
