1974 BMW Bavaria

The Bavaria, sold only in America (though the same basic design was available elsewhere), was praised for both its performance and luxury, much like BMWs today. The styling was extremely fresh and modern--10 years later, BMWs still looked the same--but still were handsome and up to date. This Bavaria's appearance suffers slightly from the massive bumpers, but when was the last time you saw a bright aqua BMW?

  1. BMW E3 is very nice looking car but this 5 miles bumpers are really awful. Bright aqua lac - mmmmm.

  2. I knew it had to be this one that I'd spotted a few hours north in Friday Harbor! http://www.oldparkedcars.com/2013/05/1974-bmw-bavaria-sedan-e9.html Delightful.

    1. Wonder if it's the same owner, and it still hasn't sold...

    2. Same license plates, so almost certainly same owner, since in WA our plates don't stay with the vehicle when the titled/registered owner changes (at least not w/standard issue plates like these; I don't know about antique/collector/specialty plates).
